We are Elena’s Idea, a music band based in Helsinki, Finland.
Elena’s Idea plays melodic and personal music with the spirit of simplicity and poetry.

BRIEF HISTORY
The band was founded in 2013 by three people: visual/sound artist Pekka Sassi (FI), researcher in aesthetics and art philosophy Veli-Matti Saarinen (FI), and actress Yuko Takeda (JAP/FI). Yuko also writes lyrics to the songs.
During a few years of collaboration, we have performed live at various venues such as Koko teatteri, Ravintola Kirja, Svenska Klubben, Andorra Culture and Entertainment Center, Pori Art Museum, and Villa Lill-Kallvik. They have also published their first album “The First” (2015). So far the reception has been very warm and enthusiastic.

In 2016, Veli-Matti Saarinen and Yuko Takeda welcomed a new member Veli-Pekka Oinonen (aka Puka Oinonen) to continue the wonderful collaboration of music making.
